“Beware the Watchers” comic books I made as movie props for the “Beware The Watchers” movie. These are the internal “original” pages I made for the interior of the book. There were many nodes to other books that I based pretty much all of the designs and layouts to them. I will be updating this post with those details soon. These were a lot of fun and work.
This is completely unrelated to any of my work except for inspiration. Watch a great master of western story-telling and art at work. Something I wish I could have seen in person, so it is really neat to even see this much. I picked this up from the KirbyMuseum.org website. Enjoy!
"Beware the Watchers" comic books I made as movie props for the "Beware The Watchers" movie. Now they can do the finishing shots and get the movie finished before Crypticon. These were a lot of fun and work. Thanks to Wayne Johnson for the project, help and encouragement! I finally made a comic book. Now to go deeper. What should →
Just added Eddie Sparkles over at MonsterAmmo.com. Purely coincidental that maybe some teen vampire movie opened this week. Right? Added a poll over at MonsterAmmo too. Go vote!
"Super Hero Guy" is conceptual art for a web comic. Of course, Marvel® and DC® comics own the rights to the character elements involved. It would simply be a fan comic for fun and entertainment.
Doing some preliminary target work. Made the site functional and previewed some potential targets. Added some polls to get feedback from consumers. I've got quite a few other targets in mind, so I hope people like them. Why don't you go cast you vote? Check out MonsterAmmo.com

A series of comic book style covers to be used for promotional materials for movies still in production. I'm enjoying working on them. They've been a lot of fun. Most of them are also homages to covers that have come before. Get your comic-geek on and tell me which ones! I'll spoil it below if you can't guess. →
Just started promoting this target line for Law Enforcement Targets. They have chosen to go with three and the rest are for expansion later on. The first set should go into production any day now and be available shortly after that.

Various options for getting consumers interested and aware of the Zombie Ammo™ targets available at the gun range. Different sizes and options, depending on the location. One of my favorite parts of the Zombie Ammo experience are the large and high resolution graphics.
These are from a project I was able to work on for a friend. It was a fun little project. I modeled the game pieces and rendered them. We tried a variety of textures and styles. One option was simply boy. blue and girl, pink. Another option was different skin tones for a variety of people. The final choice was →
The is just a small sample of the projects I've worked on when I was at Scales Advertising. Primarily the workload consisted of packaging, from very simple to very complex. The primary client was 3M with a large number of product lines. We could walk through Target and I could find, easily, a dozen products I worked on in a →

Some of my favorite images that simply don't fit in any other particular grouping. Every image may or may not reflect how I was feeling or what I was thinking about. Some do, certainly. Pondering images always reflect where I'm at when I start them. Everytime. Enjoy!
"Comic Book" style is intended to tell some kind of story or reveal character. Often it will include a pen & ink style of illustration. Pretty strictly using Adobe Photoshop or sometimes Illustrator. Actual professional, pen & ink artists command my respect for their skill and discipline. Comic books are such an amazing art form. If they are done correctly, →
The principles of design are what we do to the elements of design. The principles can be done to any of the 7 elements. Using 3 or 4 is more than enough.
The Elements of Design
Line
Shape
Value
Texture
Direction
Size
Color
The elements are the parts of the design. They are what we have to work with. Use 3 or 4 or more.
